How reviews work
On SmoothBooking, reviews can only be left by customers whose visit has verifiably taken place. This page explains how reviews are collected, published and displayed.
Verified visits only
A review can only be left for a completed visit: an appointment the business has marked as completed, or a queue visit where the customer was served. The review form is tied to that specific visit, and a review cannot be left without a verified visit. That is why every review carries a Verified visit badge.
All reviews are published immediately
We publish all reviews immediately regardless of sentiment — including critical ones. We do not pre-screen, hide or weight reviews based on star rating.
Reporting and removal
A business can report a review it believes violates the rules (for example inappropriate content or the wrong target). Only the SmoothBooking platform can remove a review, and removals are made on documented grounds. Businesses cannot remove or hide reviews themselves.
How the average is calculated
The star average is the arithmetic mean of all published reviews. We only display the average once a location has at least three reviews — a single review does not give a reliable overall picture.
No rewards for reviews
We do not pay or offer benefits for leaving reviews, and we do not selectively request reviews only from satisfied customers. A review request is sent on the same basis after every completed visit (at most once every 30 days per location), and you can opt out of requests at any time.
The relationship between SmoothBooking and businesses
The businesses shown in the service are SmoothBooking customers: they use the platform for appointment booking and queue management. This business relationship does not affect how reviews are published, ordered or averaged — the same rules apply to all businesses.
Review order
Reviews are shown newest first by default. We do not promote or demote reviews based on star rating or commercial factors.
